Prayer Ministry

About Prayer Ministry

In Ephesians 6:18, Paul urges everyone to “pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests.” If you are a person who often prays for God’s work in the lives of people outside of your own family and personal friends, you can serve God and others through the vital ministry of intercessory prayer in several ways at EVC. Prayer Team

This is an ideal ministry for people who love to fellowship with God in prayer, are grounded in His Word, and know Him as the answer to our every need. The prayer team is open to people who have completed the New Member Class or have been active at EVC for more than three months and will commit to pray regularly for the prayer needs of others.  We email a list of prayer requests for EVC church ministries and events, church plants, and individual needs and praise reports to prayer team members once a week.  We also email urgent prayer requests that are received during the week. We rejoice as we see God move in powerful ways and we often hear people say they have felt our prayers during times of crisis. Devoted to Prayer Gatherings

Prayer Team members are now using a telephone conference call line to pray together from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. every Saturday. Together we pray as God leads us for His powerful work in and through EVC and for the prayer requests in our weekly prayer letter. Callers are also welcome to share your personal prayer concerns and receive focused prayer from people who truly care for your needs. This call is open to anyone who desires the sense of unity and encouragement that comes with praying in agreement with others – no experience required and no one is required to pray aloud. If you are interested in joining in this prayer call, please click the button below.
