FOR THE PERSON
In December 2021, EVC announced and voted on a new building project that included expanding our existing commons area, adding additional kids space, and building a gymnasium for our students. Since that time, we have continued to see God’s movement in our church! The evidence of God’s hand at work, combined with the extraordinary growth we are witnessing in our surrounding community, confirms that God has positioned EVC uniquely to make an impact our community, our families, and in the lives of individuals. This growth has led us to reevaluate how we can best leverage and steward the resources with which God has entrusted us.
A Multipurpose Church
In August of 2022, our team began developing a plan that would allow us to stay true to our original goal of investing in the next generation while making room in our Sunday worship experiences for our growing community. Months of planning led us to the development of a multipurpose space that allows us to double our Sunday morning occupancy from 350 to 700, while also providing us the room for a gymnasium. This move aligns with what has always been our philosophy – leveraging all our resources, including our building, for the greatest Kingdom impact.
Why Now?
The growing church
Eagles View Church has always been a community of believers passionate about loving God, loving people, and developing disciples. That very passion has made us a church that meets our community's needs, develops disciples who are passionate about reaching the world, and loves to come together and worship God every week.
From the beginning, We have seen God do amazing things in the life of our churchs. We now have over 40 Life Groups that meet and grow together weekly. We have sent over $1,700,000 into the mission field through EVC Go since 2016, and we have grown over 35%! However, while church growth experts believed people would not return to church post-Covid-19, our Sunday attendance has grown 122% since January 2021, and we have seen 120 people step forward in believer's baptism!
Extraordinary Growth
We have also seen record growth in our community. Since 2005, the Saginaw–Fort Worth area has grown over 88%, and the growth isn’t stopping anytime soon! Our area has 31 subdivisions currently in development and another 16 planned for the near future. Just across the street in Bailey Park, 465 lots are being developed that will soon be filled with families looking for a church home. God has strategically placed us here and now to be a light to our community.
Why lion heart?
As our community grows, so does the need for quality and trusted childcare. 6,000 more households are coming to our area and current statistics show that all childcare facilities within a three-mile radius of EVC are at capacity. Our city is in desperate need of childcare, and the need is only going to continue to grow!
Through a partnership with Lion Heart Children's Academy, EVC will have the opportunity to leverage our Kid's Ministry space every day of the week to meet this genuine need for families in our community. But Lion Heart isn't just about childcare; it is about life change. Our goal is that Lion Heart would not just be a daycare that meets in our church but a ministry of our church. That is why we will be hiring a full-time Community Director to connect families to our church and to the hope we have in Christ. We cannot wait to see what God will do in and through this partnership between EVC and Lion Heart!
WHY YOu?
Making a vision this large a reality takes all of us partnering together! Pastor Bart has often said that EVC is not a cruise ship that we come and enjoy, but that we are an aircraft carrier. That means we all have a role to play and are a part of something bigger than ourselves. You do not attend Eagles View Church; you are Eagles View Church!
Our goal in this project is for everyone who calls EVC home to take ownership of this vision and participate through Gospel generosity. We are not just investing in a building, but in the future! This project, this church, is for our community, families, children, and FOR THE PERSON.
