Yesenia Sanchez: Despair to Redemption

Yesenia Sanchez went through a difficult time in her life when her parents divorced just shortly after she had her first son at the age of 17. She found herself in abusive relationships, both physically and mentally, and turned to alcohol to cope with the pain. This led to depression and feeling lost and unwanted, despite having children who needed her.

Realizing that she needed a change, Yesenia turned to Christ. She repented for her sins and let Christ enter her heart. Since then, Yesenia's life has transformed in many ways. She no longer doubts herself and has forgiven those who she never thought she could forgive. She has even forgiven herself and learned to love who she is.

Yesenia shared at her baptism, “I am no longer doubtful of myself. I have forgiven individuals I never thought I would ever be able to forgive. I forgave myself. I love myself. My household is calmer, and my parenting skills are calmer. I am overjoyed with life again!”
