Can we trust the Bible?

Why can we have confidence in the Bible we have today?

The Bible was written across centuries, languages, cultures, and generations. So how did these writings become the Bible we know today, and how can we trust that what we have is truly God’s Word?

Can We Trust the Bible? is a five-part teaching series exploring the history and formation of Scripture. Together, we’ll look at how the books of the Old and New Testaments were written, preserved, translated, circulated, and recognized, while addressing some of the questions people still ask about the Bible today.

Whether you’ve trusted the Bible for years, have questions of your own, or want to be better equipped to answer the questions of others, this series is an opportunity to better understand what we believe and why we believe it.

EPISODE 1: What Do We Mean by Scripture?

What are the Old and New Testaments? What does canon mean? And what does it mean when Scripture says that God’s Word is “breathed out by God”? In Episode 1, we establish some of the foundational terms and ideas we’ll use throughout the series and begin exploring why Christians believe Scripture can be trusted.

This is a five-part series, with new episodes releasing every two weeks. Check back as we continue exploring how the Bible came together and why we can trust it.
