Cultivating Gratitude

Gratitude isn’t just a feeling—it’s a rhythm of the heart that draws us closer to Jesus. Over these 25 days, we’re inviting you to slow down, notice God’s goodness, and live out thankfulness in a tangible way.

25 Days of Gratitude

  • Memorize Scripture

Let God’s Word shape the way you see the world.
This month, we’re memorizing 1 Thessalonians 5:16–18 (NLT):

Always be joyful. Never stop praying. Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus.”

When we plant Scripture deep in our hearts, gratitude becomes more than a reaction—it becomes our reflex.

Start small: write the verse on a sticky note, set it as your phone wallpaper, or say it out loud while you drive. The more you repeat it, the more it will renew your perspective throughout the day.

  • Practice Intentional Gratitude

    Gratitude grows where it’s practiced.
Take a few moments each day to reflect and write down at least one thing you’re thankful for—big or small. It might be a conversation, a moment of peace, or even something difficult that’s teaching you dependence on God.

    Use whatever works for you:

    -A simple journal or notebook

-A gratitude app or digital notes on your phone

-The back of your planner or calendar

When we pause to name God’s blessings, we train our eyes to see His faithfulness in every circumstance.

  • Share Gratitude with Others

    Don’t let thankfulness stay silent.
Encouragement is contagious, and gratitude multiplies when it’s shared.

Look for ways to express thanks:

-Text a friend or family member who’s been a blessing

-Write a note to someone who serves quietly behind the scenes

-Speak words of appreciation to a coworker, teacher, or volunteer

Every time you share gratitude, you remind someone that their life is making a difference—and you reflect the heart of Christ to the world around you.
