“I have seen God's Mighty Hand at work through Open Hands Ministry at hospital and home visits, preparing healthy meals, sponsoring regular events and visiting Senior Residents at The Lodge of Saginaw Senior nursing home (Valentine’s Day celebration and Christmas Caroling and Crafts), deep house cleaning, etc. Open Hands Volunteers and I have seen Care Receivers touched by God’s love when a real tangible person who cares shows up to fulfill their needs at the moment needed. Care Receivers know that God is there and loves and cares for them. We are literally striving to be the hands and feet of Jesus on this earth as He leads us.”
“The partnership and generosity of EVC GO and the EVC family donations and volunteers have strengthened and catapulted our local ministry, immensely, for which we are forever thankful and grateful. Mere words cannot express our sincere gratitude, for what God is doing. God is blessing Open Hands in so many special ways… we are thriving and growing amazingly, because God is in Control. Some of our Care Receivers are now working in the Open Hands Ministry as volunteers because God moved upon their hearts to serve. They have a front row seat and have seen first-hand how God has touched and blessed others through serving. It is remarkable. Praise Our Almighty God, for He is Worthy of All Praise! Hallelujah! Open Hands has more than 70 scheduled events on our 2026 calendar (since January 31st) and God continues to add Care Receivers and Volunteers to the ministry. Psalms 136:3 "Oh, give thanks to the Lord of Lords! For His mercy endures forever."
Looking ahead, I sense God inviting Open Hands to focus on helping our Care Receivers live a long healthy life with exercise/light stretching and preparing and eating healthy meals with clean ingredients.
Please walk alongside us to further help enhance the Quality of Life of our Care Receivers so they can live a long healthy life… Let us bring to our Care Receivers and EVC Senior Adults an exercise program, healthy and tasty meals, and share God’s Word for healthy and stress management living.
We have also been invited to visit 100 Senior Residents at The Lodge… Calling for Volunteers! We welcome any new volunteers who would like to support these initiatives or attend these events.”
