“What may seem like small acts of care a prayer, a visit, a quilt, a conversation, or simply being present have become powerful reminders to hurting people that they are not forgotten, not alone, and deeply loved by both God and His church.
We've seen prayers answered, healings, depression lifted, and people who have accepted Jesus or been restored in their relationship with God. To see the affect these quilts have on an individual is so meaningful. It’s like giving someone a big hug from God.
Recently a woman from the PQM met a lady new to the community. She discussed that this lady’s husband had died suddenly, just 18 days after moving here. She was given a quilt, reminded of God’s love for her, and encouraged her to plug into a church. While sharing information to her about EVC, she said she and her daughter plan to visit.”
“The generosity of EVC GO, as well as the private donations of EVC members, has meant everything to the PQM. These donations have enabled us to purchase much needed materials that have allowed us to sew and distribute more than 800 quilts, and 2500 prayer pockets to God's hurting people. We're praying for God's guidance as we consider serving additional local crisis pregnancy centers, as well as nursing homes, foster care homes, military families, and EVC's multiple mission outreaches.
We always remember the saying, “Where God guides, He provides”. It’s not just the quilts that have blessed so many. We’ve had the amazing opportunity to sew 180 tote bags to distribute to the forgotten people of the Amazon that our missionary team ministered to. These totes are used to carry wood for fires, food from different sources, or things that the people would not easily be able to carry otherwise. We also sent 300 potholders that we sewed that help the women lift heavy pots from the outdoor fires that they cook on.
Please pray for us, and consider joining the PQM. Your continued support of EVC GO is such a blessing to us. Thank you. Our hearts are tied to yours.”
